I have a bit too many positions in my portfolio which are relatively small, because when I started investing I often bought 2 or 3 different companies a month to spread my money. This month I closed some relatively small positions and invested the money back in some medium sized positions.

  1. Looks like you had a busy month. Lots of activity. I am happy to finally receive my first dividend payment from ABBV. Looks like they are paying you nicely as well. Keep it up!

  2. As the comment above mentioned… a very busy month for you. That’s a lot of buying and selling. I don’t like to buy and sell a lot. Generally, the more you touch your portfolio the more it tends to under perform. If you like a stock for a particular reason and it goes down it might be a good idea to simply hold on to it or average down. Still, you managed a nice passive income for the month. Keep up the good work.

  3. I Indeed had a busy month. I tend to do just 1 or 2 transactions a month, but in Feb I did decide to sell a few small positions which I build up when I started buying shares. When I started investing I did split up my monthly deposit in 3 different share purchases to keep my portfolio spread over different sectors and companies.

Now I sold the companies which are low on my watchlist and which would stay small in size. I reinvested the money in some medium sized positions.

I will now be back to 1 or 2 transactions a month probably.
